New Permanent Teeth

All-on-4® Full-Arch Implants

A complete set of fixed, permanent teeth supported by as few as four implants, often placed and fitted with teeth in a single day.

What It Is

A full smile on four implants

All-on-4® is an excellent solution for patients who have lost all of their upper or lower teeth and need a full set of permanent teeth. Using a minimal number of dental implants, our periodontists can provide you with a set of strong and reliable permanent teeth.

An implant is like a titanium tooth root that is surgically placed into the jawbone, replacing the natural root-part of a missing tooth. All-on-4® is a tested and proven approach that involves the placement of four dental implants in precise locations of your jaw to support a set of new, permanent teeth. Your ability to chew and your appearance will be fully restored.

A set of teeth securely fastened to dental implants will not slip or feel loose. You will no longer need adhesives or have any discomfort caused by denture movement. Your teeth will look natural, and robust stability can improve your ability to chew.

Who it's for
This treatment is used in special situations for patients who have enough bone in the front regions of the jaw but a limited amount of bone in the back, and who are not candidates for extensive bone grafting.

  • The freedom to smile.
  • Teeth that look and function like natural teeth.

The Process

How All-on-4® is done

From consultation to permanent teeth in three well-planned steps.

During your initial consultation your health status and jawbone vitality will be evaluated to decide your eligibility for the All-on-4® procedure.

Your oral exam will include a 3D CT scan of your jaw that will be used to generate three-dimensional images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone. The highly accurate 3D radiographic images will support your diagnosis, planning, and treatment.

If your eligibility is confirmed, a custom treatment plan and sequence will be formulated. The fee will be determined and the financial information will be reviewed.

Your comfort is a priority; we provide sedation for a comfortable, anxiety-free procedure.

Any failing teeth that remain will be extracted, and then you will be prepared for implants to be placed: two straight implants in the front and two implants tilted up to 45º in the back of your jaw.

At the close of the procedure, patients meeting the criteria for immediate loading of the implants will receive a fixed provisional bridge. In other words, if you meet the requirements, you will leave with teeth.

During surgery, you are fully sedated.

After a healing period, you return for the permanent set of teeth. The typical All-on-4® choice is an acrylic bridge built around a titanium framework.

Imagine:

  • Strolling out of our office with the smile of your dreams.
  • Not having to turn away from photos.
  • Feeling truly confident holding a conversation.
  • Relief from the constant gooey denture-adhesive mess.

The Treatment Concept

Why the All-on-4® concept works

The All-on-4® treatment concept is a cost-efficient, graftless solution that provides patients with a fixed full-arch prosthesis on the day of surgery.

  • Full-arch rehabilitation with only four implants: two straight anterior implants and two implants tilted up to 45º in the posterior.
  • Immediate function (fixed provisional bridge) for patients meeting the criteria for immediate loading of implants.
  • Graftless procedure: bone grafting is avoided by tilting the posterior implants, utilizing available bone.

Cost & Coverage

All-on-4® cost questions, answered

The cost of All-on-4® treatment varies depending on your individual needs, the complexity of your case, and the materials used. There are options available at different price points to suit a range of budgets.

Financing is available; many patients spread payments over time with affordable monthly plans.

Let's split the All-on-4® treatment into several stages and address the coverage for each. Insurance generally will not cover the whole procedure but may include a portion of each step.

Dental insurance policies commonly separate treatments into a couple of categories, considered Basic or Major. Many dental insurance policies identify tooth extraction as a Basic procedure, so if tooth extractions are needed preceding implant placement, 60% to 80% may be covered under the plan.

Implant placement and prosthetic fabrication are deemed to be Major dental procedures. If your insurance covers Major procedures they could pay as much as 50%; however, most insurance won't cover the cost.

We can work with your insurance company to figure out what portion of the All-on-4® you will have to pay.

No. Implants and all types of implant-supported prostheses are an elective classification of treatment that is not covered.

Not sure All-on-4® is right for you?
We will evaluate your current requirements and needs to determine if the All-on-4® procedure is right for you. There are many different tooth replacement options available, and in cases where All-on-4® might not be the best fit, we will pair you with the best dental implant option to restore your smile.
