Connecticut Periodontal & Implant Associates was founded in 2004 and has grown into one of the region's most experienced periodontal and implant teams, caring for patients across five Connecticut offices. Every one of our doctors completed three additional years of specialty training in periodontics and dental implants after dental school, so the gum disease, bone grafting, and implant work other practices refer out is the work we do every day.
Two of our periodontists are Diplomates of the American Board of Periodontology and have served as President of the Connecticut Society of Periodontists. Together, the team shares one philosophy: conservative, comfort-focused care and clear communication at every visit.

Jamison Scotto, DMD
Dr. Scotto is originally from Glen Cove, NY, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Rochester in 1996. In 2001 he completed his DMD at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, followed three years later by his specialty-training program in Periodontics and Dental Implants at the University of Connecticut Health Center. During his training he received several academic scholarships and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
In 2005, Dr. Scotto attained Board Certified status when he was named a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is active in the dental community, currently serving as President of the Connecticut Society of Periodontists and as Treasurer of the Litchfield County Dental Society, and previously taught at the UConn School of Dental Medicine as a faculty member in the Department of Periodontology.
Dr. Scotto has a long history of volunteering for both local and international causes. As a dental student he helped organize a dental screening clinic for the Connecticut Special Olympics and provided dental treatment for underserved people in the Amazonian rainforest of Peru. He founded Connecticut Periodontal & Implant Associates in 2004.
He lives in West Granby with his wife, Sara, and their three children, and enjoys cooking, skiing, hiking, and cheering on the NY Giants.

Brenton J. Lahey, DMD, MS
Dr. Lahey was born in New York City and later moved with his family to Cheshire, CT. He attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, graduating with a BA in Chemistry in 1998, and went on to earn his DMD at Temple University School of Dentistry in 2002.
From there he completed a three-year specialty residency in periodontics at the University of Louisville, where he also earned a Master's degree in Oral Biology and completed a clinical research study on cancellous allograft blocks for ridge augmentation procedures. He is a published co-author in the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Prior to joining Dr. Scotto's practice, he was in private practice in Fairfield, CT, for three years.
Dr. Lahey is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (Board Certified) and a past President of the Connecticut Society of Periodontists. He lives in Cheshire, CT, with his wife and children, and they enjoy spending their free time on the golf course.

Alireza Oryan, DMD
Raised in Toronto, Canada, Dr. Oryan earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from York University before completing his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey. While pursuing his dental degree, he was awarded the Anthony R. Volpe Colgate-Palmolive Award for Excellence in Periodontics.
Driven by his passion for surgical principles and his commitment to periodontal health, Dr. Oryan remained at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine to complete his advanced specialty training in Periodontics and Dental Implants.
Active in organized dentistry, Dr. Oryan enjoys spending his time outside the office hiking, golfing, exploring new restaurants, and appreciating the fine arts.
