What is sedation dentistry?
Occasionally a patient may become anxious and cannot relax during an office visit. As many as 30% of adults in America are afraid of needles. Sedation dentistry offers these dental patients a safe and effective alternative.
We offer two forms of conscious sedation that allow a patient to relax and/or become sleepy: taking an oral medication or receiving medication intravenously, always in combination with local anesthetic.
One of the benefits of sedation dentistry is that it eliminates movement during a periodontal or dental implant procedure. Sedation relaxes the patient and gives those who might avoid a dental visit a safe, anxiety-free alternative. If you are hesitant about scheduling your next visit, consider sedation dentistry. Ask us for more information and we will be sure to put your mind at ease.

Two levels of relaxation
We'll match the sedation to your anxiety level, your health, and your procedure.
Made for the treatment we provide
Periodontal and implant procedures are exactly the kind of care sedation was made for: surgical visits, longer appointments, and treatment patients have often put off for years out of fear.
- Dental implant placement and full-arch procedures. Many patients sleep through the entire visit.
- Bone grafting, gum grafting, and other surgical procedures.
- Gum disease treatment for patients whose anxiety has kept them away from care.
- Long or combined appointments, get more done in one relaxed visit.
